Marvin only weighed 5lbs 4 oz when he was born. That's a fairly good size baby these days.. but back in 1930 babies that small seldom lived long. His mother would pin his gown to a pillow to carry him afraid of droping or hurting him, and she used a small dresser drawer for a baby bed.
